Character concepts for a school final project! This project was a video game project about a girl (Zuri) getting captured by an evil african witch doctor (Yandu) in a futuristic world. Zuri's job is to solve Yandu's puzzles and form strategies to fetch items for Yandu or else there is a loss of health points. The goal is to use the masks in completing the tasks in order to be released of Yandu's service and go back to your family. Yandu's designed after a toad.
Zuri: Her face is really pretty, but she's more than a pretty face. I love the texture and shape of her hair as well as all the textures in her clothing. The masks are great, especially the one she is wearing in crouched full body pose. My guess is that mask gives her speed and or agility.
Yandu: I thought: "she looks like a frog" before I read your description, so I think you nailed that aspect of her character design.
I love her face. I love that she has a unibrow, the wide set of her eyes and how her lips curl out like a handlebar mustache. I also like her proportions especially that her hands and feet are small in comparison to her central girth.
For both, the colors are beautiful. I love all the warm tones. I think the graphics ans textures you've used represent the African theme really well. I hope your grade reflects the work you've done.
Wow! I love the rendering for this. It is simply fantastic.
